Great-Grandmother

My great-grandmother, Lavina Brown (nee Switzer), born 1876, died 1965. She had direct contact with people born in the 18th century.  Lavina was born in the Victoria Valley, Northland, NZ.  (Taken by Stanley Douglas in about 1955).

RMS Queen Mary 1955 (2)


In 1967 Queen Mary was sold to become a hotel, museum and conference centre at Long Beach, California.  She was in service between 1934 and 1967, mostly on the Southampton to New York run. Taken by Murray Douglas.
